Governor Adeleke Threatens Legal Action Against APC Director Over Defamatory Statement

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has threatened to sue the All Progressive Congress (APC) media director, Kolawole Olabisi, for 5 billion naira over a defamatory statement.
The statement in question accused Adeleke of being involved in a plot to bomb the state electoral commission and kill top officials. This allegation is vehemently denied by the governor's team.

Adeleke's spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, described the allegation as "reprehensible, baseless, and defamatory." He emphasized that the governor is a "man of peace" and that the allegations are an attempt to tarnish his reputation.

The governor has demanded a retraction of the statement and has threatened legal action if none is taken. This comes after the APC has been boasting about violently rigging the 2026 governorship elections.

Adeleke's team has been monitoring the APC's threats and is prepared to counter them. Rasheed stated that the governor is "not bothered" by the APC's threats and is focused on delivering good governance to the people of Osun State.

The APC's allegations are seen as a desperate attempt to discredit the governor and his administration. However, Adeleke's team remains committed to serving the people of Osun State.

Rasheed warned that "fake news will not go without consequences" and emphasized that the governor will pursue legal action over the "grave accusation."

The governor's team is confident that the truth will prevail and that the APC's allegations will be exposed for what they are - baseless and defamatory.

Adeleke's administration remains committed to transparency, accountability, and good governance. The governor will not be deterred by the APC's attempts to distract him from his mission to serve the people of Osun State.

In conclusion, Governor Adeleke will take all necessary legal action to protect his reputation and defend himself against the APC's defamatory allegations.
