OSUN NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,750 PERSONNEL FOR YULETIDE CELEBRATION

 The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command has deployed 1,750 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and crime-free Christmas celebration.

According to Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo, the personnel will provide watertight security, covert and overt operations, and round-the-clock surveillance on critical national assets and infrastructure.

The deployment is aimed at ensuring that residents of Osun State enjoy a peaceful and festive holiday season. Commandant Sotiyo assured members of the public of a massive security arrangement in the state.

The personnel will be deployed to strategic locations, including worship centers, marketplaces, recreation centers, and other flashpoints in the state. This is to prevent any potential security breaches and ensure that the celebrations are not marred by crime or violence.

Commandant Sotiyo also called on those planning to cause a breakdown of law and order to have a change of mind or face the consequences of their actions. He warned that the NSCDC will not tolerate any form of lawlessness or disorder during the celebrations.

The Osun NSCDC boss urged personnel to be civil but firm in the discharge of their duties. He also appealed to members of the public to report suspicious movements in their environment to the nearest security agency.

The deployment of personnel is part of the NSCDC's efforts to ensure a secure and peaceful environment for residents of Osun State during the Christmas celebrations. The corps is working in collaboration with other security agencies to achieve this goal.
