Breaking Boundaries in Tech: Funmilola Victoria Omojola FNCS Shines Bright at 2025 Girls in ICT Day
A new wave of recognition swept through the Nigerian ICT landscape as Mrs. Funmilola Victoria Omojola was celebrated with the prestigious ICT Girls Torch Holder Award at the 13th International Girls in ICT Day Celebration, hosted by eBusiness Life Communication Limited.
The high-profile event, held at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, gathered top dignitaries from across government, education, and technology sectors, alongside aspiring young girls from schools across Lagos. This year’s theme, “Girls in ICT: Bridging ALL Divides for an Inclusive Digital Transformation,” reinforced the urgent call to level the digital playing field for women and girls.
Mrs. Omojola’s story is one of unwavering passion and impact. From her early days as Head of IT at Grace Schools, Gbagada, she has grown into one of the most influential women in Nigeria’s tech ecosystem. Today, she holds several leadership roles, including Vice Chairperson of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) Lagos Chapter, Vice President of the Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NiWIIT), and Founder/CEO of Rise Up and Sparkle Initiative, Fungolden Innovative Services, and Fungolden Delight Foods. Recently, she was inducted as a Fellow of the Nigeria Computer Society (FNCS), a testament to her outstanding service and innovation in the field.
In her acceptance speech, she shared:
