A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Dr. Adewale Majeed Salami, has felicitated with Muslims in his constituency and across Osun State on the occasion of this year’s Eid Kabir celebration.
Dr. Salami, a renowned philanthropist and business tycoon, expressed his heartfelt greetings to the Muslim faithful, urging them to reflect on the core values of the festival which emphasize sacrifice, obedience, and compassion. He encouraged them to celebrate modestly and in accordance with Islamic teachings.
He stressed the spiritual significance of Eid Kabir, advising Muslims to internalize the lessons of devotion and selflessness exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), and to let these values guide their daily lives.
In his usual spirit of generosity, Dr. Salami donated rams to Muslim faithful across the four local government areas that make up the constituency—Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo. He also distributed cash gifts running into millions of naira to support families during the festive period.
Dr. Salami further called on the people of Osun State to continue to give their maximum support to the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, emphasizing the need for unity and collective responsibility to ensure the governor sustains the delivery of democratic dividends in the state beyond 2026.
