Akande at 86, his transparency, public service delivery as standard for younger politicians- OGUNGBANGBE

Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe has said that the Osun State government secretariat, standing out there, to outlast many more governments of the state, remains the symbol of the government and administration of His Excellency Chief 'Bisi Akande, reflecting, endlessly, his values of transparency, efficiency and public service.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CITA ENERGIES stated this on the anniversary of the birthday of Chief Akande at 86, the erstwhile governor of Osun and pioneer National Chairman of the governing All Progressive Congress (APC), Nigeria.

The APC chieftain from Osun East Senatorial District noted, the design of the sprawling Osun government secretariat is a blend of functional architecture, spacious for offices, receptions, meetings and conferences; natural light ventilation, accessible layouts and sit-out facilities integrated; and security, safety and eco-friendly features incorporated. 

Hear Ogungbangbe: "Chief Akande as a paramount leader of our party, APC, is a model of streamlined management processes, effective resources appropriation, data-driven decision-making, service delivery-centric, and public servant engagement centred."

He added that "Baba Akande, to whom I paid a courtesy visit, last Christmas/New Year season, practiced the principles of lean management during his governorship as it were, several years ago and, that must be what the circumstances of the time dictated, and his objective eliminated waste and optimized growth and development processes in the state as he leveraged the technology of strategic planning and efficiency, and had public service delivery improved, unprecedented, in Osun.

"As I recall his national chairmanship of APC, I also recall his impressive politics skill, politics expertise, politics experience demonstrated by him, and development of the party's policies and principles, his other achievements, still reverberate to now with positive impact in a profound way. And I can say, Baba Akande is a nationalist, wonderful networker, committed to the promotion of the party's agenda, values and goals."

Akande, a consummate politician of deep understanding of the complexities of politics is a veteran of the progressive movement that migrated from Action Group (AG) through to APC. He is the arch leader of leaders, also a community leader, and a devout Muslim. He's famous as _Baba Omokeke,_ the father of younger politicians, well respected for his integrity, and ability to inspire and motivate younger ones towards shared goals and objectives of APC. 

Dr Ogungbangbe prayed for more of good years for Chief Akande in the land of the living, habituated to the well-being of mankind.
