Osun First Lady Rewards the State Representative of the Every Home a Garden Competition

The First Lady of Osun state, Her Excellency,  Chief Mrs Titilola Adeleke has presented a cheque of One Million Naira to Mrs Adelegan Sofiyat Opeyemi, winner and representative of Osun state in the “Every Home A Garden” competition, an agricultural initiative from the office of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu aimed to encourage and support women active participation in productive agriculture.

Presenting the cheque in her office today, Mrs Adeleke eulogies Senator Oluremi Tinubu tireless and immense strides in boosting women involvement in agriculture as a way to enhance food security and improving the economic stability of women as their contribution to the nation development. 

Mrs Titilola Adeleke noted that the gesture is   in fulfillment with Governor Ademola Adeleke integral plan to improving the sustainability of agriculture as a way to diversify the economic admirably and in tandem with the good intention of the office of the First Lady of Nigeria which had previously gifted cash gift of #1.5million to all selected participants from every state of the country during the official unveiling of "Every Home A Garden" competition winners in Abuja on 4th December 2024.

Mrs Adeleke who doubles as the Osun state Coordinator of Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI)  call on Osun women and beyond to be more actively engaged in agriculture especially as we approach the raining season,  

The beneficiary, Mrs Sofiyat Adelegan who was accompanied by her husband, Comrade Abdul-Ramon Adelegan expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Mrs Titilola Adeleke for the privilege and opportunity to have been selected among pools of other contestants. She promised to re-invest the money into her agribusiness with bountiful yield projection to encourage more women participation in agriculture.
