Ife APC Okays Ogungbangbe's Bid For Senate

By ISAAC OLUSESI

Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe has prospected a strong electoral strategy for the victory of the Osun State All Progressive Congress (APC) in the next governorship election, with the demographics of voters, the momentum and enthusiasm carried into the subsequent elections in the state. The demographics shift in strong grassroots presence and energy, indicates electoral strength of the party and its potential influence on election outcomes.
Ogungbangbe stated this in Ile-Ife during consultation on his Senate ambition, with the APC leaders from all the local government council areas in Ifeland.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CITA ENERGIES did a quick, detailed and penetrating retrospection of his humble beginnings, life and times, efforts in and out of politics, and achievements. And he opened the consultation, saying, "I humbly present my ambition to serve the good people of Osun East Senatorial District of the state, in the Senate capacity. And faithfully, I have come to you, hopefully, to seek your good approval and warm support for this collective ambition for me to go and serve in the Senate, National Assembly (NASS)."

A leader, driving the *OGUNGBANGBE SENATE'27,* Honourable Otunba Emiola Ogunsanya had earlier spoken on Prince Ogungbangbe's long spirited efforts in the progressive party, over two decades now, and "his down times but with the utter commitment to the party, it's values and ideals.

"And Dr Ogungbangbe PhD, never for once, defected or dragged the party to the court, or mud," Ogunsanya added.

Physically, present and personally, responding, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the Osun APC Chairman who's also an illustrious son of Ile-Ife, the seat of civilization with Obafemi Awolowo University as Centre of Learning, insistently restated party unity and hard work as _sine qua non,_ indispensable and essential to the party progress, and victory in the 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.

"I call on all of you, aspirants, including our dear Dr Ogungbangbe, to put up more diligent efforts, and let all of us present a strong chance of winning the governorship election.

"And mark it, victory in other elections would fall in place, in the bandwagon effect," Lawal said.

Prince Ogungbangbe, the scion of the Ajagbusi Ekun Owaloko Royal Dynasty of Iloko-Ijesa had previously, in his consultation talk, considered the party's performance in the upcoming gubernatorial, important to providing insights into future electoral outcomes.

The Chairman of Aviation Fuel Marketers Association of Nigeria (AFMAN) got the okay to his consultation with the Ifeland APC leaders, to go ahead on his Senate ambition to represent Osun East, even as he was well applauded by the party leaders in Ife, the cradle of the Yoruba and home of the progressive.
