Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe's philanthropic demography has burdensome implications for some other persons. But it places no burden on him. It's just within his domesticity of giving, with giving as a revolving door.
I was thrilled by his considerate monetary support for the more strategic security for the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 presidential campaigns. After all, security is more than offering extra pairs of eye and ear to feel safe and secure.
Like the currents of hurricane winds and waves, revitalizing nutrient supplies, Ogungbangbe's huge budgetary supports, significantly contributed to the backbone of Asiwaju's electioneering outings.
And for the generality of other politicians on the string of excitements in electoral politics, but strewned with financial challenges to any chances of victory at polls, Ogungbangbe perfectly gave financial assistance that assuaged and reinvigorated hope of election success.
It's just apt to recall part of his philanthropic distinction in the largesse of millions of naira to the 2023 APC Ijesa North National Assembly (NASS) candidates, with spillage to Ijesa South and Ife's. And simultaneously, he had his beneficence, philanthropy replicated in many of the federal constituencies across the nation in the February 2023 general elections that resulted in the inauguration of the 10th NASS in June, 2023.
The understanding of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CITA ENERGIES is that it's incumbent on the candidates, who he had assisted financially, if elected, to deploy requisite potentials to create pragmatic footprints on the socio-economic growth and development of their constituencies to take respective States to greater heights.
And outside of politics, I am skydived, Ogungbangbe's $100,000 research grants to University of Ilorin made Nigeria's pioneer study of microbial contamination in aviation fuel. A seriously studied issue, it was his proactive management, people centric, to ensure fuel quality, aircraft safety, and operational reliability. The study was published in the Academia 2017 by Lambert Academia, Germany.
The hints on Prince Ogungbangbe's consistently immense support to public spirited projects in communities athwart, ethics, religions and party affiliations, could be picked at solemn events. Noiseless.
He has always financed multiple trailers, carrying full haulages of bags of rice, and donated to his Osun State All Progressive Congress (APC) for distribution to the party's state-local government- ward structure, at such annual global festivals as Christmas and Eid, fondly, _Ileya_ in this part of the globe.
And his donations of refueling kits to Nigerian Air Force- 2017; 20,000 Vials of Pain Relief injections to Osun State government- 2016; cash gifts to Port Harcourt and Warri member communities; electric transformers to Lagos and Abuja Airports- 2015; 20,000 units of food palliatives across Osun Local Government Areas via Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE); and construction and donation of multiple worship centers across faith, across Nigeria.
And the Chairman of Aviation Fuel Marketers Association (AFMAN) has also had classrooms, scholarships plus overseas travels for studies, donated to individuals and communities in Nigeria, other tangible projects spread across Authentic Nigeria Football Supporter Club, VCN Sport International Table Tennis Court, all of which speak volumes of the man.
Let's get the splendor and grandeur of Ogungbangbe's good relations with diverse publics, making the *OGUNGBANGBE SENATE'27* a reality. His philanthropic demography is a two-way street, leading him to the upper chamber of NASS. One, Ogungbangbe's interaction with the mass of the Ife/Ijesa people gets expanded by the day and the people are satisfied with his philanthropic impact.
And the other one, Ogungbangbe, willing, serious, humble, determined, and ready is reciprocally asking Osun East Senatorial District to continue its demonstratively solid and highly rewarding support for him.
The reciprocity, already has both Ogungbangbe and his Ife/Ijesa in concord junctional rhythm, to translate the Senate ticket to him to represent his Osun East in NASS.
In representational legislation and politics, it's sure, the scion of the Ajagbusi Ekun Owaloko Royal Dynasty of Iloko-Ijesa will be all out to break down every barrier to effectively influential representation of the currently underrepresented Ife/Ijesa men and women, youths and the physically challenged.
Broadly, Ogungbangbe PhD, will navigate the competitively legislative politics, find common grounds and develop bold, innovative legislations that address pressing national issues, especially in the energy economy that fetches the nation's fairest revenue, and he will watch out for the beneficial effect on Osun East.
