Ogungbangbe As The One For The Job of Osun East In NASS

By ISAAC OLUSESI

Actively listening, as an act, is one of the most important qualities of Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, and he takes time to listen to people, giving them full attention to express their thoughts and opinions without interrupting or dismissing them. His being open to people for new ideas, or brainstorming for new insights, perspectives and his use of new information has got him a lot more done.
Practically, he surrounds himself with people to hear them out on what they have to say, without fun, thrilling, pyrotechnics or headlines as he believes in letting people really listen to each other with the eye as important as the ear. He knows, he does not have all of the answers as a Senator, awaiting the consideration of the party leadership. His other utmost virtues of loyalty, dedication to duty and penchant for teamwork will ensure for him, effective legislative service delivery to the electorate in his Osun East Senatorial District of the state.

Aside from the constitutional requirements of representation in the National Assembly (NASS) and mindfulness  in the legislative standing order for consultation, guidance and direction which he possesses more convincingly, his background in public service, oil and gas business, and politics is quite vital. He's the one for the job, the perfect match for the race and he sure will excel in the legislative role and effectively represent the interests of the constituents in his Senatorial District.

The Ogungbangbe business acumen, over decades and rooted in the banking and oil and gas sectors of the nation's economy speaks to his familiarity with business principles, macro and micro- economies, budgeting, taxation and financial management. And he's well equipped to play the legislative watchdog role on public finance and resources with utmost sense of seriousness. And trust, he will not soil his hands.

And his experiences as the Chairman of Aviation Fuel Marketers Association of Nigeria (AFMAN) and holder of the membership of inter-ministerial committee on aviation and aerospace matters, have saturated him with strategic capacity to identify, analyze, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop creative solutions on the issues of his Ife-Ijesa axis to foster socio-economic growth and development, all inclusive and sustainable for the constituents of his Osun East, with impact on future generations.

He understands the government structure, functions, procedures and relations on public policy development, implementation and evaluation as the basis of good governance and administration. And in particular, his grasp of the legislature as an important arm of government, doing the passage of bills, oversight and representational functions in a democracy and playing the complex role in socio-economic development of the nation.

Prince Ogungbangbe, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CITA ENERGIES fits the bill well as the ideal candidate for the Senate to represent Osun East, by every thoughtful appeal for consideration in his favour. His ability to engage diverse stakeholders, community leaders on the constituents' interests, other complex issues of the senatorial district, is one big plus.

And his courage to deter, or frown upon all biases against the collective interests and development of his senatorial district; his resilience to stress, pressure, criticism; and his adaptability to any changes in the priorities of the district's needs and deadlines, stand him out and stoutly helped by the whiff of the naturalness of his strength of integration, humility and hard work to stay informed of the issues of interest to his senatorial district.

Look at Ogungbangbe, PhD,  closely and see, he has full advantage of knowing what his constituents would expect of him, with compliance to accountability and transparency as he focuses on results.

He will be a good lawmaker in the red chamber of NASS by his type and style of creating a safe and accessible place for discussions on the currently marginalized Osun East to help the Senatorial District thrive, prosper.
