Adewole Is Strategic, Public Spirited, National Pride -Ogungbangbe, On Birthday

Professor Isaac Folorunsho Adewole is a respected and accomplished academic and professional, exemplary and highly commendable in public health management, humanity and public service.
Dr Thomas Olaleye Ogungbangbe, making the citation on this year's birthday anniversary of the Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics, acknowledged the demonstrative hard work, leadership, evidence-based expertise in healthcare decision-making and policies, and significant achievements of Adewole, a former Honourable Minister of Health, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain from Osun East Senatorial District, described the erstwhile Health Minister as public spirited and national pride who provided visionary leadership, strategic direction and guidance to his Ministry of Health that addressed health disparities and, advanced the nation's health and best practices.
He noted, the tenure in office (2015-2019) of the past Health Minister has continued to impact the health growth and development of the country, away from the challenges of healthcare infrastructure, healthcare workforce, healthcare outcomes, healthcare policies, healthcare decision making, healthcare accountability, and public trust and confidence in the healthcare implementation.
Ogungbangbe, PhD whose first university degree is in a related medical field, recalled that the other challenges as disease burden and inequitable access to healthcare, poor healthcare indicators and strategies, and healthcare stakeholders' criticism and healthcare crises were dealt with decisively, stressing that Prof. Adewole tackled those challenges effectively by his professional and administrative competences, as contributions to global effort at addressing global health challenges, and for which he received international recognition, awards or honours
